Burkina Faso Centres for Companies formalities
CEFOREs are the only way for companies to achieve (in only one form) administrative formalities for the creation, the extension or the buy-out of companies, individual businesses or secondary establishments. They give support in company creation, facilitate and simplify administrative formalities for promoters.
1. OBJECTIVES OF CEFORE
The CEFOREs allow national and foreign economic operators, individual and legal entities, to achieve in the same place, with only one interlocutor, in a very reduced period (maximum 7 working days), all their formalities and declarations in legal, social and fiscal field (as regards laws and regulations) and related to the creation, the extension or buy-out of companies, economic interest groups or foreign branches.
2. MISSIONS
The CEFOREs’ role is to: - Receive and inform any economic operator on legal texts governing companies and investments in Burkina Faso;
- Communicate the list of required documents according to the nature of the declaration and be sure of the acceptance of the files addressed to the administrations and organizations involved; Receive all the declarations related to the creation, the extension or the buy-out of companies, individual businesses or secondary establishments;
- Ensure the treatment of the demands in connection with the different administrations and organizations involved;
- Transmit files to the services involved in the achievement of all administrative formalities related to the creation, extension or the buy-out of companies, individual businesses or secondary establishments;
- Be sure of the respect of the legal period for files treatment and the execution of necessary formalities with the administrations and organizations involved;
- Analyze the needs expressed by economic operators to improve their services
3. DOMAINS OF INTERVENTIONS
CEFOREs are qualified to work for economic operators intervening in the domain of agriculture, trade, industry, craft industry and for services subjected to various legal obligations for registration and publication.
4. FORMALITIES CONCERNED AND OPERATIONAL PARTNERS
- The trade Register and personal Credit (RCCM) * Partner: commercial Clerk of the Court (presided over by three persons);
- The declaration of fiscal existence and the Unique Financial Identifying Number (IFU) * Partner: General Direction of Taxes;
- Tradesmen Professional Card for individuals * Partner: Ministry of Trade
- Affiliation with the National Office for Social Security (CNSS) * Partner: National Office for Social Security
5. MANAGEMENT BODIES:
Centres for Companies Formalities are close to Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce, industry and Craft industry.
There are managed by the “Maison de l’Entreprise” of Burkina Faso.
They are also managed by two committees:
- Technical Committee for Consultations: Consultative body in charged of the optimization of the CEFOREs organizations.
- The Management Board: CEFOREs Orientation and decision authority.

CEFOREs: only one place, only one interlocutor, only one document and only one deadline. Only one place: Formalities for the declaration of creation, extension and buy-out of companies are done in CEFOREs;
- Only one interlocutor: In CEFOREs, only one Counsellor for reception, listening to and assistance giving for all the formalities;
- Only one document : In CEFOREs, you fill only one request form for all the formalities;
- Only one deadline: In CEFOREs, you have a maximum of 7 (seven) working days for all the formalities.
